Common Questions

When is Weep Screed Necessary?

This is a common question that comes up, but the answer is quite simple. Weep screed is usually required for all buildings that have wood framing construction, especially if it is a new build.

Should There Be Cracks In My Stucco?

In a word – yes. Cracking in stucco is perfectly normal, and it is actually a sign that the stucco has set properly. When the water in the stucco evaporates after installation, the material might shrink and some small hairline cracks may appear. These cracks, as long as they are relatively small, are not a problem and should be expected.

Will my stucco patch repair show?

It depends. Due to existing stucco being weathered, exposed to elements and depending on the textures, the applications can vary along with inconsistencies of stucco material batches. Ways to remedy it, if this is the case, would be to paint stucco or re-stucco the area corner to corner, top to bottom.
